The MP-I201 is our most extreme integrated amplifier. As with all Vitus Audio Masterpiece components, this is the pinnacle of our development work where any form of compromise is off the table.

When we introduced the groundbreaking MP-S201 stereo power amplifier in 2014, we were asked if it would ever be available as an integrated amplifier. Founder Hans-Ole Vitus’ answer, “Why not?” This kicked off development of a suitable preamplifier for the MP-S201 resulting in this behemoth of an amplifier. We believe it to be the biggest integrated amplifier in the world with performance to match its size and weight.

INCREDIBLE POWER - REFINED LISTENING

The MP-I201 uses the discrete modules found in the MP-L201 with our relay controlled fixed resistor network volume control. The line stage of this amplifier offers five inputs in total. Three XLR and two RCA accommodating any source available with a sensitivity between 2 Vrms and 8 Vrms. And of course, the configuration is balanced from input to output with RCA inputs converted to true balanced inputs at the first stage of the preamplifier.

As has often been the case at Vitus Audio, the development of this superb amplifier was prompted by our customers, who were so impressed by the specifications of the MP-S201 stereo/mono unit that they asked us whether it would become available in integrated form. The sound from this beast is unlike anything you’ve heard from an integrated amplifier before. Expect to have any preconceptions blown away.
