When we talk about the Masterpiece Series being extreme, we really mean what we say. This component is the last word in digital to analogue conversion. With five inputs including USB that supports NativeDSD up to 128 and PCM up to 384kHz with 32 bit resolution, whatever digital sources you have, this unit will handle them with room to spare.

And because of our modular design, as upgraded components pass our rigorous testing and standards, they can be installed in the future: meaning this unit is truly the last DAC you may ever need to buy.

An upgrade of its sibling, the SD-025 DAC/Streamer, (which had already broken the barriers of what is possible in terms of sound quality), the MP-D201 Mk.III incorporates 16 DAC-chips, a specially designed master clock module, and the option for analogue volume control. All combined in one streamlined, and user-friendly design.

EVERYTHING AT MAXIMUM

In this iteration of the MP-D201, we introduced an updated master clock to keep each of the 16 DAC chips – 8 in parallel per channel – in perfect harmony. We use AD-1955 chips which are renowned for the ability to produce a ‘non-digital’ sound which is part of our core ethos.

The power supply also has a vast array of ultra-low-noise regulator steps to support the DACs potential performance. The MP-D201 Mk.III delivers nothing but sublime sound quality and a haunting, authentic rendition of your favorite recordings.
